Hexpand

"Hexpand is a one device, two player strategy game. If you don't have any friends (around), grab a nearby stranger to play. Or - if they prove reluctant - you can play against the AI!

You are a ruthless but considered commander who wants to take despotic control over the galaxy. To do that you send your self-replicating nanobots to a few, carefully selected star territories. From there they will expand your control in all possible directions until all of space is yours. But of course you are not the only mastermind which had this exact plan at this very moment. And only superior tactics in choosing the territories will secure your ultimate victory.
